Fundraising Efforts

In order to help keep our fees lower, it is crucial for the Akasaka Figure Skating Club to do annual fundraising activities. All families are required to participate in fundraising activities.

Please read the Letter to Parents from our Fundraising Chair:  Fundraising Letter to Parents.pdf

STARSkate Music Playing

Each month, the coaches will post a music schedule that will require someone from each family to play music for different skating sessions. This ensures that coaches and skaters are making the most of their time on the ice during lessons and not worrying about changing songs when required.
It is the responsibility of each family to reschedule and/or change a shift with another family if they cannot cover their day(s).

CanSkate Elements Event

Each year, the Akasaka Skating Club organizes a local event for our little skaters to show off their skills in a mini “competition.” All families with children in the Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate programs are required to volunteer to help run this event. All Program Assistants are also required to be in attendance to assist the coaches during the event.

Annual Skating Carnival

Each year the Akasaka Skating Club closes the season with their annual skating carnival. This is a huge event that requires many hands and help. Each family is required to volunteer for at least one job during the carnival weekend. A volunteer sign up sheet is made available at least a week in advance of the carnival date for families to sign up.
